All disabled exempted from profession tax

In a measure that is expected to bring relief to thousands of people with various forms of disability, a bill that seeks to exempt people with disability from paying profession tax was introduced in the State Assembly on Wednesday. The bill seeks to amend existing municipal laws to enable all “differently-abled people” to avail of equal benefits.
